CHICANO DATABASE

SCOPE:

The only specialized database for Chicano reference. In 1992 Chicano database expanded its scope to include the broader Latino experience of Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans, and Central American immigrants. Now also includes the Spanish Speaking Mental Health Database, a comprehensive resource covering psychological, sociological, and educational literature.

CLASE/PERIODICA

SCOPE:

Indexes over 2,600 scholarly journals published in Latin American and the Caribbean. Clase indexes documents specializing in the social sciences and humanities, while Periódica covers journals specializing in science and technology.

SCOPE:

Authoritative, worldwide information about Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean basin, the United States-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the United States. From analyses of current political, economic, and social issues to coverage of Latin American arts and letters, HAPI Online contains complete bibliographic citations to articles, book reviews, documents, original literary works, and other materials appearing in more than 400 key social science and humanities journals published throughout the world.

SCOPE:

Formerly known as Info-South, Info-LatinoAmerica includes over 125,000 records on Latin America. Many records include full text from the original source (beginning with 1995). Info-LatinoAmerica is carefully compiled from over 1,500 leading international and domestic newspapers, journals, news magazines, newsletters, and other sources.

SCOPE:

Full-text access to more than 90 Hispanic popular magazines and scholarly journals, the majority in Spanish.

LAPTOC (Latin American Periodicals Table-of-Contents Database)

SCOPE:

LAPTOC provides access to tables of contents for hundreds of journals, primarily in the humanities and social sciences, published in Latin America. Very few of these journals are indexed in HAPI, the Handbook of Latin American Studies, or other major indices. Articles can be requested directly through the database's interlibrary loan module by users at member institutions.
