Mudslide Damage in Tobago Estimated at $100M, November 15, 2004

Damage from flooding and mudslides in Tobago which resulted from an intense storm on Firday, have been estimated to cost over $100M to repair. The damage, loss of two lives and a number of injuries, has been considered worse than that of Hurricane Ivan, which also lashed Tobago. The damage was concentrated in the towns of Charlotteville and Delaford. In the meantime, the Tobago House of Assembly received $15M in hurricane relief from the Central Government in response to the damage caused by Ivan
