Honduras says Anti-Cuban Terrorist will be deported, August 31, 2004

Honduras is believed to be the current abode of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, who according to investigators, a flight entered the nation with false passports on a private jet, where President Ricardo Maduro of Venezuela stated he would be deported for violation of immigration laws. Luis Posada Carriles is wanted by Cuban authorities after a 2000 assassination attempt on Cuban President Fidel Castro and a 1976 bombing of a Cuban jetliner called "the most wanted terrorist in the hemisphere" by the Cuban government. Cuba severed relations with Panama, the home of Carriles, after outgoing Panamanian President Mireya Moscoso issued a pardon for Carriles and several accomplices to prevent a future Panamanian president from deporting them to face justice in Cuba or Venezuela.
