Mexico Disrupts American GI Funeral, Apologizes, July 7, 2004

During a procession by Marines held for Lance Corporal Juan Lopez, a Mexican-American soldier in San Luis de Paz who was killed in Iraq, several Mexican armed forces interrupted the ceremony, taking exception to two of the rifles carried by the procession. This was in violation of Mexican constitutional statues prohibiting foreign troops to bear firearms on Mexican soil.
