49 Inmates Flee from Brazilian Jail, February 9, 2004

A surveillance camera caught the escape of 49 inmates through a hole in a bathroom wall in Polinter, a jail in downtown Rio de Janeiro. None of those who escaped are thought to be dangerous. Six guards have been suspended following the incident and an investigation will be conducted.
