Attack on Hatian Police Station Leaves Dead, Wounded, Freed, February 6, 2004

A string of attacks in the city of Gonaives, in which a police station and the mayor's house were burned down, left between 4 and 10 people dead, over 20 injured, and 100 inmates freed. The group responsible is the Gonaives Liberation Front, formerly known as the Cannibal Army, which has been behind many of the recent protests demanding the resignation of President Aristide.
