Colombia Signs War Crimes Accord with U.S., September 18, 2003

Colombia signed an agreement with the U.S., in which Colombia would not be able to prosecute American citizens in the UN International war crimes court. The U.S. suspended part of its military aid to Colombia until the agreement was signed. Sixty one nations dependent on U.S. foreign aid have signed similar agreements.
