Violence in Venezuela, June 13, 2003

Violence has erupted again in Venezuela, as government troops fought battles with Chávez supporters on Friday, June 13, 2003. Supporters of Hugo Chávez were in the streets to disrupt an opposition rally being held in a poor area of Caracas. The opposition was trying to garner support for a referendum to end the current government leadership. Several were wounded in this most recent political violence.
