LACiC Welcomes New Student Library Assistants, September 2003

This semester brings new faces to LACiC.  Hillary Scott is a graduate student pursuing a Masters in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and focusing on cultural studies, literature, history and education.  She comes to us from the University of California, Davis.  Julian Perez is an undergraduate student majoring in history.  His research interests include anthropology, evolutionary biology and marine science.  Please stop by LACiC to welcome them!

At this time, LACiC also says goodbye to Cristyn Casey and to Meagan Mattingly.  Cristyn worked at LACiC for over 3 years and, with her energy and creativity, was instrumental in developing LACiC's services.  She recently accepted a position as Program Coordinator at the Transnational and Comparative Studies Center.  Meagan, at LACiC during the Spring 2003 semester, has been awarded a FLAS Scholarship for the 2003-2004 academic year to study Haitian Creole.  Congratulations to you both!
