FIU Libraries is currently working with J. Noe Herrera of Libros de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia) to help us build our collection of Colombian imprints. Our agreement with Libros de Colombia extends beyond receiving recently published materials; we will also be adding noteworthy, out-of-print titles to build a collection of research quality here at FIU. Working with a collection development profile provided by FIU Libraries and a list of current FIU Libraries Colombian holdings, Libros de Colombia is charged with selecting out-of-print and recent materials of a high research and scholarly nature.

In the spring of 2001, FIU Libraries added approximately 400 new titles published in Colombia to its holdings.
