Dr. Carmelo Mesa-Lago, economist and FIU professor, recently donated his personal collection of books and other research materials - a collection of over 1,000 items - to FIU Libraries. The collection reflects Mesa-Lago's academic focus, the Cuban economy. The gift includes over 500 books in addition to pamphlets, periodicals, and other important resources.
Gifts like Professor Mesa-Lago's contribute to the development of an excellent Latin American and Caribbean collection, offering an even broader range of source material for faculty, students, and researchers. FIU Libraries is indebted to Dr. Mesa-Lago for this valuable addition to its collection.
